This collection is comprised of untitled observations, reflections–and dare I say, prayers–mostly composed in the cloisters of familiar locales over early morning coffee and meditation–more than not with my faithful furry compatriots by my side or at the very least in my thoughts.
May your life–
be–
your prayer

INQUIRIES
There is a clarity
in charity
A winnowing freedom that clears
the thicketed fields
Tilling the soils
of our souls
Sowing the seeds
of our salvation
INQUIRIES
The wise savor the good
whilst facing the storm
There is a refuge in poverty
of the heart
In which we the wise take shelter
But not in capitulation either
But from which to give
INQUIRIES
There is a jolting Grace
That imbues true Solitude
Wherein and Within
Doing and Being
Become One
INQUIRIES
Only
at the edge
of something new
Do we recognize
the former
for what
it actually is
(Or was.)
INQUIRIES
Free Prayer
from ritual
from words
from spaces
Free Prayer
from guilt
from worry
from fear
Free Prayer
from time
from rubric
from authority
AND–
Pray Free
INQUIRIES
Try to remember—
Being is
more important
than Doing.
Live—
Wildly
Imperfectly
(and) Graciously
Be Healed—
from expectations
from norms
from status
Be Always–
Exactly as you are
INQUIRIES
The spiritual journey
is not a search party
for what lies beyond.
Rather–
The spiritual journey
is all about allowing ourselves
(the good, the bad, and the ugly)
to be found.
By that which lies within
and all around.
There should be a pride
In being
Exactly the way
We were created
To Be
Life unfolds over time
Much like an unfurled flag
May it fly Boldy
and Peacefully
(Creases,
Tatters,
Tears,
and–
All.)
INQUIRIES
Be not distracted
by the big things
that are actually–
(upon investigation)
quite miniscule
Focus on the Good
on the bigger picture
on your participation in something–
BIGGER
More meaningful
and
ETERNAL
Be constantly made new!
INQUIRIES
Thank You
for this life
You have given
me
May my life be
a thank you
And the last I hear
“You’re welcome”
